Newport Boat Show

This fall, District 12 and District 14 are being asked to cover the Newport International In Water Boat Show
September 12 to 15th as we did last year.

In addition to staffing needs for the booth, we also need instructors for mini seminars. The Show management is providing space (no charge) in the hotel adjacent to the Show for a class room where we hope to do seminars on AIS, Propane on Board, as 2 hour seminars that we will charge a fee and also 1 hour mini-seminars (no charge fee) for possible Engine Repair, Anchoring. Other seminars will also be
considered.

The Show management was very pleased with the public’s response and has offered the booth space (10 x 10) to us at no charge. National has offered to cover the additional cost for a 10 X 20 ft booth to accommodate the Virtual Trainer which National is providing. Please lets us know if you want to participate in staffing the booth or classroom instruction.

Last year was very successful, and National used our model for other
large boat show on the West Coast.

This topic will be discussed at the District 14 Spring Conference on April 6th being held at the Fairfield Inn and
Suites in New Bedford.
