Commander’s Message for January 2021

It is hard to believe but the year 2020 has ended and 2021 has begun.  I think that I can  speak for all of us that we are happy to have this difficult year behind us. I anticipate that we can defeat COVID-19 very soon with upcoming vaccinations.

I hope that all of you had a healthy and good New Year celebration and I wish you continued good health in 2021. Our bridge is again contacting ALL of our members to make sure that each of you is well and healthy.

My Christmas and New Year’s Eve was very quiet, not the usual get-together and First Night in Chatham, as it was just the two of us celebrating together.

America’s Boating Club Cape Cod had a virtual Holiday Party over Zoom on 10 December that featured several videos with pictures which were contributed by many members. Topics were:

The Good Old Days, Members Activities in the Year of COVID-19 2020, and pictures of Past Holiday Get-Togethers.

Now it’s time to look forward to our future meetings. Susan Schwager is putting together some very exciting programs with dynamic speakers for the next few months. January will again be over Zoom.

I am hopeful that this may change in the next few months.

Please check out our website which is constantly updated with the newest information and Calendar of Events. Here is the link: https://americasboatingclubcapecod.org/about-us/

I am looking forward to seeing you at the membership meeting over Zoom on Thursday, 28 January at 1900. Don’t forget to contact Susan to let her know that you are Zooming in.
