Your club’s executive committee is adapting
during self-isolating as a consequence of
the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic.
While we are not able to get together in person,
we wish you and your loved ones’ health and wellbeing.
With guidance from America’s Boating Club® and pursuant to Massachusetts Chapter 53 of the Acts of
2020 (An Act to Address Challenges Faced By Municipalities and State Authorities Resulting from
COVID-19) signed by Governor Baker on April 3, 2020, an emergency provision (Section 16) intends to
make it easier for nonprofits to function remotely for the time being. These actions include: remote
board and member meetings, including remote voting, while complying with public health guidelines
and ensuring that the business of the nonprofit can continue.
