Captain Lisa Goodwin
Lisa is a member of our club. She holds a 100-Tons Master USCG License and has sailed the world as crew aboard Tall Ships as well as many other sailing vessels. At a previous dinner meeting, she shared her knowledge and adventures, including being washed overboard while on watch sailing around Cape Horn.
Lisa has been busy volunteering to prepare the historic 1894 schooner SSV Ernestina-Morrisey for inspections. In recent days, she crewed aboard the ship from Boothbay Harbor to her berth at the New Bedford State Pier. If you attend the District 34 SNE Spring Conference Saturday, 25 March, held on Historic New Bedford Harbor, you may wish to see SSV Ernestina-Morrisey dockside.

Cruising the Cape Verde Islands
A sailing holiday aboard the 164-ft Dutch three-masted topsail schooner Oosterschelde
The Cape Verde Islands are located 320nm west of the African countries of Senegal and Gambia in the north-east trade wind belt. The archipelago consist of 17 islands , nine of which are inhabited. They were settled by the Portuguese in 1462. Lisa will share her adventure cruising to six of these islands aboard the beautiful historic Oosterschelde in January of 2023.
