Glide through meandering salt marsh on the Pamet River from Pamet Harbor, 75 Depot Street, Truro. 0930 launch (an hour before 1030 high for enough water under us). GPS coordinates: 41.9918, -70.0789. Alternate weather date 23 July (Friday, 1030 launch an hour before 1127 high). Out and back with no option to put in. Free parking (no parking in trailer spaces); $10 per kayak (credit card preferred).
Paddle Rendezvous: Allow time to unload and launch promptly. It’s important to sign up with Joan and Evan Croft for updates, especially due to weather-related schedule changes: CapeRedhouse@comcast.net. Be prepared: Wear a lifejacket and tie on a whistle. Stow a bailer and tow rope. Bring a lunch and/or snack, sunscreen, hat, enough water or other beverage for hydration, beach towel for picnic, etc. You may bring something to share.
We get requests for weekday and weekend paddles to accommodate those with different work schedules. We do our best to mix it up. Scheduled dates and launch times are governed by the tides. We plan optimal launch times that aren’t too early and return times that aren’t late. We hope all of our paddling enthusiasts will find options that fit their busy lives. Guests of members are welcome.
